Dallas 2020
It was sooo good to be back in Dallas during one of the biggest competitions of the cheer season!
If you’re a new friend checking out my photos for the first time, hi! I’m Becca! My sister cheered competitively for about 11 years and I found my love for the sport through her performances. Going to huge national competitions and watching her team make Worlds finals so many times was incredible! I love everyone’s love for cheer and wanted to stay involved when she retired, so now I keep in the loop with on Instagram + travel to big competitions doing portrait shoots. :)

Let me tell you — this was by far one of my favorite trips to Dallas in the many times I’ve been! The weather was seriously beautiful with no rain or freezing temperatures like so many years in the past. I got to explore some new locations and meet some new friends… and create some of my new favorite images! I seriously love being a part of this competition weekend for so many cheerleaders.
Friday, February 28
The first day of photos was a full one, wow. Started the Dallas adventure with four friends from Twist & Shout, and I was so looking forward to their shoot because I loveee friend shoots. It was so fun meeting them and I’m obsessed with all the colors in their album! These girls were so fun.
After finishing up with these girls, I had a team shoot with some of my favorites! Met up with Cheersport Great White Sharks for team photos the third year in a row in Dallas. You guys, I absolutely love shooting with them. They are all the nicest ever and so genuine and SO good at what they do. After a day one performance not quite up to their standards, they had a night to completely prepare for a solid day two and ending up winning the competition!! Back-to-back-to-back-to-back National Champions. It’s so awesome being such a fun part of their weekend and being able to hang out with a team that is such an example for this sport!
I even got to help debut their new Rebel Athletic practice wear — I’m obsessed as usual!!
Once the shoot with Great Whites was over, I had a few other team shoots scheduled but was so sad for the gym as they were experiencing massive flight delays at home! They didn’t make it in time for shoots Friday and ended up unable to reschedule, so I’m really hoping we’ll be able to see each other again in Florida. They are awesome.
I had a little downtime and found this super delicious restaurant where I spent some time sending out sneak peeks to earlier shoots and sharing some Instagram posts. :) I got a teriyaki shrimp bowl and omg those are my favorite. Big fan of bowls like that hahaha.
Later that night I had shoots with some Green Bay Elite teams! It was so fun to see some of my friends I’ve shot with before in past seasons and meet so many new ones. We started with GBE Pink and omg I was OBSESSED with their pink jackets. You guys know how much I love pink, and GBE Pink is no exception! The girls were all so nice and had so many fun ideas for photos.
Green Bay Elite Royal was also competing this weekend, and their photoshoot was next! It was fun having these nighttime shoots since I do most photoshoots during the day, and I was loving the bright lights in the background and the pops of color the Omni was giving us!
And that was a wrap on the biggest day of shoots in Dallas! It was seriously AMAZING.
Saturday, February 29
Saturday I got to watch a tonnn of action in the arena and wow I was having the best time ever!! Seriously can’t believe the talent this year in so many divisions! I’ll share the little shoot I had and then feature my favorite action shots after. :)
I met Ella + Acey on Mac’s in Orlando a few years ago and was super excited they wanted pictures again. They are just the nicest and we always have such a fun time coming up with new ideas. We end up laughing like half of the time but they make for some of the best pictures, so it’s pretty perfect.
Saturday was a super fun day to watch action!! This is one of my favorite competitions because the energy in the arena is literally insane. When big teams hit and the entire crowd would be cheering it was just such an incredible feeling. I love capturing those moments when teams are celebrating like no other.

Seriously the most amazing time!!! I don’t understand how it is possible to have even more fun and create even more amazing shoots every year, but it happens! So beyond grateful for all of the incredible athletes and programs I get to work with on these awesome photo trips. + as always, the competition was just the coolest!!
